Fashion
The fashion of Penny's world is a bit late in the Victorian period. It is best represented by the late 1880s and 1890s, when the bustle had gone back out of fashion, and simple A-line skirts were the rule. Of course, there were many different sorts of dresses, specialized for the town, country, ball, and even the Tea Frock. The illustrations that follow are from magazine illustrations of the time.
